Where curiosity meets code

Future-ready STEM & AI learning
for kids and teens in Mississauga & online.

STEM & AI Discovery Lab is Mississauga’s future-ready learning space where kids and teens explore coding, robotics, data, and artificial intelligence—through in-person sessions and live online classes.

Grades 3–12 • Small groups • Project-based • Mississauga & Online Beginner friendly — no prior coding required.
About the Lab

A safe space to experiment, fail, learn, and build.

We mix play, projects, and real-world tech so that students don’t just consume technology— they understand and create it.

Our learning philosophy

Kids learn best when they are curious, supported, and allowed to try, break, and fix things. We use guided discovery, not rote memorization, to build real confidence in STEM and AI.

Project-based journeys
Every module ends with a real project—a game, a robot, an app, or a simple AI model students can proudly demo at home.
Concepts before tools
Students understand logic, patterns, and problem solving first—tools like Scratch, Python, or micro:bit come next.
Human-first AI
We teach how AI works, where it helps, where it fails, and why ethics and responsibility matter from day one.
8–12 students per group
3 tracks: Explorer, Maker, Innovator
100% hands-on activities

Sessions are led by STEM mentors based in Mississauga, with both in-person and live online options. We encourage questions, celebrate mistakes, and help every student learn at their own pace.

Programs

Choose the right track for your learner.

All tracks are beginner-friendly and available in-person at our Mississauga studio, or live online with real instructors.

Explorer Ages 8–11 • Grades 3–5

STEM & Coding Explorers

Playful introduction to coding, science, and making. Students build games, animations, simple circuits, and mini-stories using block-based coding and unplugged activities.

Scratch games Logic puzzles Hands-on STEM
Maker Ages 11–14 • Grades 6–8

Robotics & AI Makers

Students move from block coding to text-based coding, build robots, and train beginner-friendly AI models to recognize images, sounds, or patterns.

Python basics Robotics kits Intro to machine learning
Innovator Ages 14–17 • Grades 9–12

AI & Data Innovators

Teens explore Python, data analysis, chatbots, and responsible AI. They complete portfolio-ready projects like recommendation systems or simple AI apps.

Why Choose Us

Not just classes — a launchpad for future-ready skills.

Small groups, big attention
Students get space to think, ask questions, and get 1-on-1 support when they are stuck.
In-person & online flexibility
Learn from our Mississauga studio or join live online classes from anywhere in Canada.
Real-world challenges
We mirror problems from science, gaming, environment, and everyday life to keep learning relevant.
Focus on mindset
We coach problem-solving, persistence, and collaboration — not just “getting the right answer”.
Responsible AI
Students learn how AI works, what it can and cannot do, and how to use it ethically.
Parent visibility
Simple progress updates so families can see what their child is building and learning.
AI & STEM in Action

Sample projects your child might build.

Every term, students complete at least one capstone project they can proudly show at home or school.

“Save the Planet” Game

Explorers • Scratch & Science

A simple arcade game where players sort waste into the right bins and score points for protecting the planet — while quietly learning conditionals and loops.

Smart Greenhouse Monitor

Makers • Robotics & Sensors

Using microcontrollers and sensors, students build a mini-greenhouse that tracks temperature and soil moisture — then codes alerts when plants need attention.

Hand-Gesture Controlled Robot

Makers • Computer Vision

Students use a beginner-friendly vision tool to recognize hand gestures and map them to robot movements, learning about training data and model accuracy.

Movie Recommendation AI

Innovators • Data & AI

Teens work with simple datasets to understand patterns in user ratings and build a mini recommender that suggests movies based on preferences.

Voices from the Lab

Parents and students on their experience.

“My son used to be nervous around anything ‘techy’. After a few weeks here, he was explaining loops and sensors to us at dinner. The best part — he’s having fun while learning.”

“I always thought AI was only for adults. Now I’ve built a chatbot that can answer questions about my favourite books. It makes me want to study computer science in the future.”
